Lancaster County is home to some of our favorite paddling routes, offering scenic stretches of water that range from calm and beginner-friendly to more dynamic moving water. These waterways provide a unique way to explore the landscape and enjoy time outdoors.

Kayaking can include paddling through currents, maneuvering around obstacles, and getting in and out of your boat along the shoreline. You should be prepared to get wet and dress appropriately for the weather and water conditions. Quick-drying clothing and secure footwear are recommended. A great feature of kayaking is its seasonal flexibility, allowing us to offer trips throughout much of the year. It also provides a great complement to our other outdoor activities and can be adapted based on weather and water conditions.​

 

During our paddling trips, as with all of our activities, we practice Leave No Trace (minimum impact) ethics and work to leave the area in better shape than we found it.
