Meet the Owners
Eric sauder
Eric is the co-owner of North Fork Adventures and has been guiding for over 15 years. Eric is certified as a Single Pitch Instructor and Climbing Wall Instructor through the American Mountain Guides Association, as well as being certified as a Wilderness First Responder. Eric is a husband and father of three, a Lancaster County native, and also works part-time for the Yellow Breeches Educational Center as an Adventure Specialist.
Andy Hershey
Andy has worked in the outdoor industry his entire adult life. Following more than a decade as a professor at the Adventuresports Institute of Garrett College in western Maryland, as owner of Coopers Rock Climbing Guides, and as a guide at Seneca Rocks Mountain Guides, Andy and family made the decision to move home to Lancaster County, PA. Since acquiring a bachelor's degree in Park and Resource Management; and master's degree in Sport Management more than 20 years ago, Andy has also worked as a backcountry ranger in Yosemite National Park and with a variety of other outdoor education programs and guide services. In addition, Andy spent three years as the program coordinator of the Adventure Sports Management degree program at Frostburg State University. In addition to being co-owner of North Fork Adventures, Andy is currently Program Director and Professor of Outdoor Leadership & Adventure Education at Garrett College.
